Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) took over the Delhi City Gas Distribution Project in 1999 from GAIL (India) Limited to lay the network for the distribution of natural gas in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. IGL continues to augment its infrastructure so as to meet the increasing demand of PNG/CNG, arising out of growing number of households and the expanding Delhi-NCR territory. ILP supported this endeavour to install new meters, conduct meter readings and manage collections on a regular basis in Noida, Greater Noida and South Delhi. ILP developed an in-house meter reading application-based solution that ensures correct and timely meter reading and instant bill delivery, thereby reducing days of collection.

The key activities for ILP were:

• Meter reading – 1,60,000 industrial, commercial and domestic consumers
• New acquisitions – ILP acquired 67,000+ new consumers
• Manage collection from delinquent subscribers – ILP managed 12,000+ delinquent consumers
