PROJECT MANAGER – SMART METER

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to fully manage the entire Smart Meter project according to our terms and conditions. Detailed and timely formal documentation throughout the entire project with all parties at all times. Project file and communications kept in a clear and professional manner/system allowing anyone to easily review any open or past issue for accuracy and accountability. Promptly communicate any issue to anyone at ILP that would be needed to insure the best results.

  • Bachelor Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience required
  • 2-3 years of experience in Smart Metering, Meter Data Management Systems, Head End System
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume fast paced work environment with very tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, detail oriented and efficient
  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (specifically Outlook and Excel)
  • Excellent Project Management & Project Coordination Skills
  • Functional knowledge of Power Sector in India
  • Work with the project team implementing a large AMI project for an electric Utility
  • RF Survey, fixing of DCU/Gateways and commissioning of smart meters
  • This position requires a self-starter and someone who takes the initiative on issues with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with any ad-hoc reporting or data entry needs that may arise

  • Maintaining and updating the IMR (Inventory Management Report)
  • Assisting with vendor prepay requests
  • Communicate with customers regarding requirements. This may be done via telephone, e-mail etc.
  • Provide technical information and execution as needed to customers to help determine the best products for the particular project. This may be achieved through the use of vendor catalogs, vendor websites, vendor technical specialists or ILP specialists.
  • Coordinate Buy Quote for commercial lighting projects with all associated required material for project execution.
  • Take responsibility for all issues related to job
  • Negotiate all potential change backs prior to presenting to Procurement Head and CFO before final approval
  • Notify Accounts Payable immediately when a supplier error may cause a customer to hold payment of invoice or prepare a debit memo to deduct from next payment: send email to Accounts Payable Manager describing problem, copy account manager and all stake holders
  • Purchase specialty items for customers such as non-stock items for direct shipment.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Support and promote specified vendors (example A-D) and product promotions.
  • Offer suitable stock substitutes for non-stock products.
  • Utilize email, Microsoft Office software, such as Word, Excel and the Internet to obtain any pertinent information regarding customer requests.
  • Participate in all training, including but not limited to on site classes, off-site classes and web based training in order to keep up to date on the most current product technology.
  • Offer and sell products, services and solutions and market all ILP divisions respectively

  • Raising the Invoices as per the terms of Contract
  • Following up with the client for Approval of Invoices and collecting the Payment
  • Preparation and timely Reporting of Information Required by Management (Head Office) – MIS
  • Book keeping of ledger accounts, Day to day Accounting entries in tally Accounts receivable, Accounts payable, Branch reconciliation, financial reporting
  • Manage Accounting, Billing, Vendor payments , Finance & Banking functions
  • Handling Internal and External Audit & replying the Audit Queries
  • Perform all other jobs, functions as assigned & deemed necessary.
  • Raising bills to the respective Project Site at the month end
  • Generate monthly, quarterly or annual financial statements and reports detailing paid and unpaid invoices and other accounts receivable activity

Smart Meter Engineer

The Smart Meter Engineer works directly with the Smart Meter Project Managers to plan, execute and finalize projects while adhering to deadlines and budget requirements.

  • Bachelor Degree in electrical engineering or computer science or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in Smart Meter, Meter Data Management Systems, Head End System
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume fast paced work environment with very tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, detail oriented and efficient
  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (specifically Outlook and Excel)
  • Functional knowledge of Power Sector in India
  • Provide Smart Meter team with administrative support in checking open orders and data entry

BUSINESS ANALYST – STREET LIGHT & SMART METER

The Business Analyst will Assist in research and planning for an upcoming and on-going Street light,Smart Meter projects and other opportunities in power sector.

  • Graduate in any discipline with experience in analytics
  • 3-5 years of experience in power sector
  • Able to prepare presentations / proposals for Street Light & Smart meter projects and maintain P&L for each project
  • Excellent MIS & Project Coordination Skills
  • General knowledge of electrical contracting, lighting design, distribution and construction processes preferred
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume fast paced work environment with very tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (specifically Outlook and Excel)
  • Able to work on a flexible schedule (including evenings and weekends to accommodate job requirements)
  • Provide management and project teams with analytical support in tracking and evaluating project performance
